→ 命令形でかなり失礼。"Could I see the menu, please?" または "May I have the menu?" が丁寧。
I want this.（指差して）
これがほしい。
→ 指さしはOK、ただ言葉は "I'll have this, please." または "Could I get this one?" に。
Bill please!（大きな声で）
伝票！
→ ぶっきらぼうで失礼。"Could we have the check, please?" と完全な文で。
It's not delicious.
美味しくない。
→ 直接的すぎる。"I'm afraid this isn't quite what I expected." または "It's not really to my taste." と婉曲的に。

→ 冠詞抜け。"Where's the bathroom?" または "Could you tell me where the restroom is?"。

チップなし！
→ 米国では失礼に響く。サービスに不満があっても 15%程度のチップを残すのがマナー（ヨーロッパは含まれていることが多い）。
